School of Islamic Economics, Business and Finance (SIEBF) havebeen established as a Centre of excellence for education and research inIslamic Economics, Business, Islamic Banking and Finance. Our aim is to educateand produce competent graduates and scholars knowledgeable in Sharīʻah andrelated modern disciplines pertaining to the fields of Law, Economics, Islamicstudies, Finance, Management, Commerce, Accounting and Information Technology. AtSIEBF, students are given thorough groundings in both theoretical and appliedresearch on Islamic Economics, Business, Islamic Banking and Finance withindustry exposure so as to develop their creative skills in devising newand comprehensive Islamic financial instruments and products for the public andthe industry at large.

Towardsrealizing the above vision, the department endeavors:

  • To provideeducation by producing competent graduates and scholars who are knowledgeablein both Sharīʻah and modern sciences like economics, finance,management, accounting, law, information technology and other related areas
  • Toundertake theoretical and applied research in order to develop and expandinterdisciplinary knowledge and practices in Islamic Ethics for Economics,Business, Banking and Finance
    Toundertake research and development in Islamic financial products that meet theobjectives of Sharīʻah and marketable through smart partnership withrelevant players in the financing industry
  • To becomean international referral centre in the field of education, research, trainingand consultation in Islamic Economics, Business, Islamic Banking and Finance
