School of Medical Laboratory Technology under Faculty of Allied Health Sciences has been started six years ago in Minhaj University Lahore with the vision to develop and promote modern health care technology in diagnostics. The four years BS program is providing
the pursuit of excellence through a clinically focused advanced laboratory practice. Our outstanding anddedicated faculty with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities is preparinggraduates with expert-level knowledge and skills, critical thinking proficiency, and aptitude in scientific inquiry to foster the development of innovative and skilled laboratory experts and researchers. The programs emphasize inter-professional collaboration through coursework and a student focused clinical laboratory practical skills. The curriculum integrates evidence-based practice in diagnostics which provides the foundation for graduates to complete a practice based research project.

Scope of the field (Subjects)

COVID-19 pandemics have evolved new opportunities and challenges globally, out of which reliability of diagnostics is the primary subject. This scenario has highlighted the importance of trained laboratory professionals. The scope of medical lab technology in Pakistan is growing. As the population expands, so does the need for quality healthcare. In addition to cities, more medical labs are now opening up in rural areas indicating the importance of the accurate diagnosis. Medical lab technology sets the foundation of healthcare system as accurate diagnosis provides the basis for effective treatment of disease
