• The research included the identification of protein and DNA biomarkers in cancer and other disease screening and their use in therapeutic discoveries. Cancer serum protein profiling coupled with immunological confirmation serve as candidates for cancer biomarkers, finding new therapeutic targets and improving the survival rates of cancer patients. • To study association of genetic polymorphisms with a variety of medical diseases, their genetic basis and to assess disease risks. • The scholarly activity focuses on applications of industrially important enzymes. Since environmental pollution has led the industries to reform new systems for the reduction of various pollutants and make the environment friendly. Uses of such enzymes allow the development of products and processes which are more sustainable and environment friendly. • The research focuses on the characterization of industrially important thermally stable microbial enzymes proteases such as hemicellulases, cellulases, proteases, pectinases, chitinases. Their overproduction and improvement through genetic manipulation by cloning and expression in E. coli under the control of suitable promoters. Applications of these enzymes in food, textile, paper and pulp industries. • The research is focused on the investigative and therapeutic studies for viral & bacterial infectious diseases. Bioinformatics/AI tools are playing essential role in these therapies by developing vaccines and designing and finding drugs against these infections. Such methods contribute to save massive time and their chemical cost as well. • Environmental pollution has led the different industries to sort out new techniques for the reduction of various pollutants in the effluents emitting from the bleaching plants of industries. The study included the characterization of thermophilic and extreme thermophilic bacterial species and their importance in bioremediation of various industrial wastes.
