Syed Ezaz Haider Gilani is serving as a Senior Lecturer and Coordinator, School of Chemistry at Minhaj University Lahore, with over a decade of distinguished experience in teaching, research, academic administration, and postgraduate supervision. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Polymer Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, where his research focuses on quasi-solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), polymer gel electrolytes, and nanostructured photoanodes for sustainable energy applications. He has also served as a Research Assistant in an HEC-funded CPEC project on advanced energy materials and IoT-integrated solar technologies, contributing significantly to the development of innovative polymer-based electrolytes and next-generation photovoltaic systems. His research expertise includes polymer chemistry, nanomaterials, advanced functional materials, energy harvesting and storage devices, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), and wastewater remediation. He has an extensive publication portfolio in high-impact international journals. He is the sole/principal investigator of a filed patent in pharmaceutical analytical chemistry, and has contributed as an author of two international book chapters in the field of advanced materials. Mr. Gilani possesses strong command over a wide range of analytical and characterization instruments, including UV-Vis, FTIR, HPLC, GPC, XRD, SEM-EDX, TGA, DSC, Electrochemical Workstations (CV, EIS, GCD, LSV), and Solar Cell Simulation Systems. Alongside his research achievements, he has supervised numerous MS/M.Phil scholars, reflecting his commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and research-driven learning.
